The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced that a total of 55,232,875 PVCs have been given out. This is about 900,000 more than the figure released on Friday last week.
Chairman of INEC’s information and voter education, Dr. Chris Iyimoga who briefed the media few hours ago also announced that the card readers device will be tested in 12 states accross the country on Friday.
On Wednesday next week, the Chairman of INEC will be meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners, the meeting was earlier scheduled for today.
On that same day, a meeting between INEC and political parties will also hold. The meetings are to assess how well the preparation of the general elections would have gone.
