Some Yoruba Nation agitators have stormed the city of Ibadan to demand the immediate release of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo also known as Sunday Igboho by the federal government.
They also demand that the extradition of Sunday Igboho to Nigeria should not be granted by the Beninese government.
The protest which began at his Soka residence disrupted vehicular movements in major roads in the area.
Leader of the protest, Yusuf Ajikobi said it was unjust for the Yoruba Nation agitator to be detained outside the Nigerian jurisdiction.
He said Sunday Igboho had committed no offence known to the laws of the country, and as such, should be allowed to move freely without being hunted.
The protesters also vowed not to stop agitating until their demanded is met.
On Monday, Sunday Igboho was arrested in the Republic of Benin on his way to Germany.
There have been conflicting reports of his whereabouts.
While it was reported on Tuesday morning that he has been freed and continued with his journey, another report emerged later on Tuesday, suggesting that he is still held in the Republic of Benin.
