Talks are going on between officials of the Accord Party of Nigeria and the Peoples Democratic Party towards adopting President Goodluck Jonathan as presidential candidate in the February 14 Presidential poll.
Speaking in Abuja under the umbrella of the National Unity Group, National Deputy Chairman of Accord Party, Oke Sikiru Adeposi said the party was on a working friendly meeting with the PDP.
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Bala Mohammed, who led a strong delegation of PDP leaders, said the group had not taken over the responsibility of the PDP National Working Committee as everything discussed will still be subjected to the approval of Adamu Mu’azu led executive council.
Mohammed added that the NUG is working with the PDP towards the re-election of Jonathan in the forthcoming general elections in an environment void of violence, tribalism, among others.
