The Enugu State Police Command have nabbed four notorious armed robbery suspects belonging to the gang that recently attacked and robbed passengers in a luxury bus at Obolo-Afor in Udenu council area of the state.
Police Public Relations Officer, Ebere Amaraizu who made this known to newsmen in Enugu in a statement, said that the four armed suspects were apprehended through the assistance of Agume police operatives of Kogi State Command.
He said one of the suspects was first arrested, “and following his confession, the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, operatives stormed Iwollo in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State, where some of his gang members were arrested for robbing at 9th Mile in Udi Local Government Area.
The command spokes man said: “Four camouflage uniforms, believed to be that of the force; National Youth Service Corp, NYSC, uniform; one locally-made single-barrelled gun and five cartridges have been recovered.”
