Authorities of the Bayelsa State Police Command has confirmed the Killing of a Mobile Policeman along the Akenpai 1 area of the state capital by unidentified gunmen.
The Acting Public Relations Officer of the Command, Lawrence Eboka who confirmed the report said the deceased was identified as a Corporal and was shot dead at about 7am on Monday while on his duty post.
Our correspondent gathered that the rifle of the police officer was also taken away by the gunmen.
The deceased Mobile Police Officer, who hails from Ekeremor Local Government Area of the State was ambushed and shot from close range.
The police however said they are making every effort to apprehend the killers.
