Enugu state police Command has confirmed the death of two children of same parents drowned in a river.
It said the command has commenced full scale investigation into the ugly incident, which has thrown the family into mourning and devastation.
Public relations officer of the state police command, Ebere Amarizu, made this known to our Correspondent in Enugu.
“The command has commenced full scale investigation into the incident where one Emeka Nwafor aged about 7years and Nmesoma Nwafor aged about 4years alleged got drowned in a stream known as Miri Ani located at New G.R.A axis of Trans Ekulu Enugu” Mr. Amaraizu had said.
The deceased were said to have gone to the stream to swim on the 13th of January, when the incident took place. Meanwhile corpses of the victims have been deposited at a nearby hospital for autopsy.
