The Court of Appeal has dismissed the appeal by the Action Alliance and their candidate, Uche Nwosu against the election of Emeka Ihedioha as the governor of Imo state.
The court awarded N500,000 cost against Mr. Nwosu.
Uche Nwosu is the son-in-law to the former governor of Imo state, now senator, Rochas Okorocha. He was the preferred candidate until he lost the primary to Senator Hope Uzodinma.
The court of Appeal also dismissed the Appeal filed by Senator hope Uzodinma, and All progressive Congress, challenging Gov. Ihiedoiha’s election, for lacking in merit.
A cost of N500,000 was also awarded against the appellant.
