The Independent National Electoral Commission has said it will decide whether to go ahead with the proposed general elections in February or not by Saturday.
The decision will be made after a meeting of the Election Management body in Abuja tomorrow .
A press statement by the Commission said it has scheduled a consultative meeting with Chairmen and Secretaries of all registered political parties, as well as a meeting with the Resident Electoral Commissioners on the same day.
The Commission is expected to address a press conference to brief the nation on its decision with regard to whether or not the general elections will hold.
Recall that on Thursday, the National Council of States rose from it emergency meeting counseling INEC to go ahead with the elections.
The council directed INEC to consult widely in order to determine how to address all the concerns that have been raised.
