Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has pulled out of the townhall for candidates ahead of Nigeria’s presidential election holding next year.
The former governor of Lagos state was scheduled to take his turn on THE CANDIDATES on Wednesday.
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is the last on the line-up of six candidates selected to be featured on the programme hosted by veteran journalist, Kadaria Ahmed.
A statement signed by the project manager of THE CANDIDATES, Kamri Apollo, said the team is discussing a possible postponement as requested for by Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
On Tuesday, former Vice President and candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, also failed to turn up for his session on the interactive session and was replaced by the candidate of the PRP, Kolawole Abiola.
The appearance of Labour Party’s Peter Obi on Monday, had continued to generate commentaries after an engaging interactions.

The All Progressives Congress has asked for the postponement of their appearance on The Candidates to a future date.
The team responsible for the Candidates is discussing the request by the APC and has made adjustments to today’s outing to ensure the series continues to meet its objective, which is to enable engagements that help Nigerians make informed choices at the next election.
Tonight, a high level conversation will seek to chart a way forward for Nigeria by looking at the issues that have come up during the town halls and ongoing campaigns, and also by hearing directly from Nigerians who have been participating from the 6 remote locations situated in Universities of Abuja, Ibadan, Maiduguri as well as Coal City University Enugu, Bayero University Kano and Yenagoa in Bayelsa State. The panel will feature Mrs. Toun Sonaiya (CEO Women Radio 91.7FM), Dr. Kabir Adamu (Security Expert, CEO Beacon Consulting), Gbemisola Alonge (Economist and Senior Analyst at Stears) and Abdullahi Mohammed (Author of “Face of Poverty”, a Report by the Yusufu Bala Usman Institute).
