President Goodluck Jonathan has commiserated with the family of his Special Adviser on Inter-Party Matters, Senator Ben Obi over the demise of his younger sister, Prof. Josephine Obiananma Anagbogu.

Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano and oil magnet Prince Arthur Eze were part of those who came to pay tribute to the late Professor.

Chief Obiano who represented the President at the funeral, commiserated with the family of the deceased saying he received the sad news of Prof Anagbogu’s death on May 16th.

Pres. Jonathan said, “On behalf of my family, myself and the federal republic of Nigeria, I extend my heartfelt confidence to the family. I pray God to give the family the strength to bear the loss and pray for the repose of her soul.”

In his message, Governor Obiano who regretted the early exit of
Prof. Anagbogu at 56 said that the family should accept what has happened as
the will of God. 

Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese, Rt Rev Alex Ibezim while delivering his sermon called on Christians to be conscious of their lifestyle in order to make heaven when they die. He described Josephine as a loving mother who believed in God throughout her life and prayed God to grant her souls a perfect rest.

Present at the funeral were several eminent Nigerians including; Senator Chris Ngige, Monarch of Awka, Obi Gibson Nwosu, Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Nkem Okeke, Prince Arthur Eze, Senator Annie Okonkwo and many others.
