President Goodluck Jonathan has forwarded eight ministerial nominees to the Senate for confirmation.
Top on the list are three former senators, Musiliu Obanikoro (Lagos), Patricia Akwashiki (Nasarawa) and Joel Danlami Ikenya (Taraba).
Others are Prof. Nicholas Akise Ada (Benue), Col. Augustine Okwudiri Akobundu (rtd) (Abia), Engr. Fidelis Nwankwo (Ebonyi), Mrs. Hauwa’u Lawan (Jigawa) and Mr. Kenneth Kobani (Rivers).
Their names were read by the President of the Senate, David Mark.
The senate is however yet to fix a date for the confirmation but the Chairman Senate Committee on Information, Media & Public Affairs, Enyinnaya Abaribe has confirmed that they are likely to be screened and confirmed next week.
