The Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Youth Empowerment, Obi Adim, has joined the race for the PDP gubernatorial ticket in Imo State.

Mr. Adim who recently picked up the nomination form will be contending at the party’s primaries with other political heavyweights such as Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha, Senator Ifeanyi Ararume, ex- Governor Ikedi Ohakim, among others.

After collecting the form, Mr. Adim told news men that he will lay priority at reducing the high level of unemployment if he becomes the governor of the state by May. 
“The level of unemployment among the youth in the state is something else and that will be given serious attention if I am elected as governor in 2015″, he said.

He said that his policies and programmes would be built around 10 key areas that concern an average person in the state.

He highlighted proper medical care, security and affordable housing and environment as top on the list.

State Chairman of PDP, Namdi Anyaehie, while receiving the aspirant, assured him of a level playing ground for all aspirants.
