The remains of the Younger sister to President Goodluck Jonathan, Madam Nancy Jonathan-Olei has been laid to rest.
She was laid to rest at her hometown in Otuoke, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
President Goodluck Jonathan who attended the funeral service at the Saint Stephen’s Anglican Church, Otuoke in Bayelsa State expressed sadness over the death of his younger sister.
The President said it was unfortunate that several efforts to save her life was not fruitful saying that she had battled with a heart condition for many years.
He however said he has taken solace from the fact that the University of Ibadan Teaching Hospital now handles open heart operation in the country.
Also present at at the funeral service were the First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan, Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State and other top government functionaries
