The Defence Headquarters says there is no truth in the report that female cadets are no longer being admitted into the military academy.
A statement by the DHQ affirmed that in line with the relevant statute, the role of women in the military is still intact.
The report which came out on Monday, claimed that during a meeting last week with Pres. Buahri, service chiefs recommended that female cadets should no longer be admitted into the defence academy.
But the statement sign by the Director of Defence Information, Major Gen. John Enenche, denied the report, describing it as ‘ill intended concoction.’
