With the rising spate of insurgence in the country, particularly as it is suspected that some of the terrorists are not Nigerians, relevant agencies have continued to weed the society of elements that do not have clear mission in any part of the country.
The Nigeria Immigration Service in Anambra State says it has arrested about 300 suspected illegal immigrants in the state.
The comptroller of immigration in the area, Darlington Chude disclosed this to newsmen in Awka
Mr. Chude said the aliens were “mopped-up” in Awka North and South, Nnewi North and South and Onitsha North and South local council areas of the state where they were mainly located.
According to the comptroller, Majority of immigrants, who do not have anything doing, came into the country from Chad, Senegal, Cameroun and the Niger Republics without any document.
