It took the intervention of security operatives today, to save Senator Hope Uzodinma from mobs at the funeral of Prof. Josephine Anagbogu, younger sister to Senator Hope Uzodinma.
The Imo State Senator was dishing out dollar notes to youths you converged near the canopy where dignitaries were being entertained. But the crowd became difficult to control when some youths who saw what was going on joined.
It took security men attached to the Senator time to whisk him into his car as the youths resisted attempts to keep them off.
On entering his SUV car, Sen. Uzodinma sprayed wads of dollars, causing youth and even security men to scramble for it.
A young man who was lucky to pick up a large catch of the foreign currency was almost suffocated as the crowd held him down in a bid to take part of it for themselves.
Some observers blamed Sen. Uzodimma for such show, but others insisted that
he was only doing his bid to help the poor.
