Seven kidnapped victims were on August 6, 2023 rescued by the special forces of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).
According to Daily Post, in a statement by Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, Director of Public Relations and Information, the kidnapped victims, comprised of six females and a male, were rescued near Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State.
The female victims said they were abducted from Paikoro, Niger state while the male victim was kidnapped from Rijau also in Niger state.
The seven of them were rescued when the kidnappers abandoned them and ran into a nearby forest on sighting the Special Forces that were on patrol.
They were taken to the NAF medical facility at Birnin Gwari for review, while the female victims were released, the male was kept for further review.
