10 of the 23 Nigerian athletes in Tokyo to represent the country in the ongoing Olympic games have been disqualified.

They are sent out of the competition for violating the Olympic doping rule which provides a minimum number of tests for athletes before the games.

Seven countries are involved in the sanction and Nigeria has the highest number of athletes affected.

A letter from the Athletics Integrity Unit gave the countries as Belarus, Bahrain, Ethiopia, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria and Ukrain.

This 2020 Olympic games will so far compete for the worst outing by the country in recent history.

But for one swimmer who crossed through the first heat, the country has lost in all other events so far competed in.

The poor outings include in the major hopefuls of Table tennis and Basketball
