The Ghanaian Ministry of Sports have summoned the country’s Football Federation to an emergency meeting over the Black Stars’ early exit from the ongoing African Nations Cup.
Black Stars, Ghana’s national team, were knocked out of the competition from the first round.
The ministry laments that after the team was provided with all it needed for the soccer fiesta, it failed to reciprocate the goodwill.
A statement signed by the Minister for Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, said the entire country is “extremely disappointed by the abysmal performance and early exit of the Black Stars…”
The emergency meeting which will hold on Friday, 21st of January is expected to “take decisions aimed at salvaging the performance of the Black Stars especially in the next set of games.”
Ghana was in group C with Morocco, Gabon and Comoros.
The Black Stars ended the preliminary matches with one draw and two loses to stay at the bottom of the group.
