HOMELAND NEWS operated by Homeland Media Ltd is a public platform for news from Nigeria but users extend far beyond the geographical borders of Nigeria. Every material published on the site is open for public view. Sharing and duplication in part for the purpose of information dissemination in the public interest is not restricted by any means.

HOMELAND NEWS receives materials which include and not limited to text, pictures and video from users for publication. The discretion lies with HOMELAND NEWS to publish as sent, modify before publication or out rightly decline publication. No staff of HOMELAND NEWS or anyone acting on its behalf should be queried, prosecuted or sanctioned by the user for such regulatory duties.   HOMELAND NEWS will not be held liable for any such material published as every user by sending the material to HOMELAND NEWS assumes full and complete responsibility for the credibility of the content.

PERSONALITY BREAKDOWN:  Further in this agreement, “I, We, Our” can be used interchangeably to represent the platform, HOMELAND NEWS. “You, Your, his, her, they” could be used interchangeably to represent the user or client. “Us, Our” can be applied in representing HOMELAND NEWS and the user or client.

OUR DUTIES: HOMELAND NEWS is committed to bringing to our users news that are verifiable and reliable. We provide the platform for our users to be informed and be heard through comments that trail our stories. We also provide the avenue for our users and clients to reach the audience they so desire through text, pictures, video and advertorials.

We will not sell, share or disclose your personal information which may be available to use by the fact of your being a user of the platform.

LIMITATIONS AND EXCULSIONS: (Disclaimer) As a news platform, we will be liable for factual misrepresentations deemed deliberate. We will take responsibility through a make-do republication of the fact. Our liability is limited to materials originating from us, our in-house writers or anyone authorized to perform duties deemed. Our liability:

  • excludes all representations and warranties relating to this website and its contents or which is or may be provided by any affiliates or any other third party, including in relation to any inaccuracies or omissions in this website and/or the Company’s literature; and

CONTRACT TERMINATION: Both the Client and ourselves have the right to terminate any Services Agreement for any reason, upon issuing at least a 48-hour notice, including the ending of services that are already underway. No refunds shall be offered, where a Service is deemed to have begun and is, for all intents and purposes, underway. Any monies that have been paid to us which constitute payment in respect of the provision of unused services, shall be refunded.

WARRANTY: HOMELAND NEWS does not warrant that the service from this site will be uninterrupted, timely or error free, although it is provided to the best ability. By using this service you thereby indemnify this Company, its employees, agents and affiliates against any loss or damage, in whatever manner, howsoever caused.

BEYOND CONTROL: Neither party, (HOMELAND NEWS and the CLIENTS) shall be liable to the other for any failure to perform any obligation under any Agreement which is due to an event beyond the control of such party including but not limited to any Act of God, terrorism, war, Political insurgence, insurrection, riot, civil unrest, act of civil or military authority, uprising, earthquake, flood or any other natural or man-made eventuality outside of our control, which causes the termination of an agreement or contract entered into, nor which could have been reasonably foreseen. Any Party affected by such event shall forthwith inform the other Party of the same and shall use all reasonable endeavours to comply with the terms and conditions of any Agreement contained herein.

WAIVER:  No waiver of any of the provisions of this or any Agreement shall be effective unless it is expressly stated to be such and signed by both Parties. Therefore, failure of either Party to insist upon strict performance of any provision of this or any Agreement or the failure of either Party to exercise any right or remedy to which it, he or they are entitled here under shall not constitute a waiver and so, shall not cause a diminution of the obligations under this or any Agreement.

CHANGE OF TERMS: From time to time, HOMELAND NEWS shall carry out changes in this terms and agreements. We shall notify you of the change by pasting it here on the website. Clients are advised to frequently review these terms in order to take notice of the changes.

Accessing HOMELAND NEWS, subscribing for any of its services or booking for space on the website for any purpose whatsoever is an indication of understanding the terms and being bound by the agreement herein stated, accepting the disclaimer and limitation/exclusion notice and the full terms and agreement without prejudice to your statutory right of a consumer.
