Tension is still on the high in Ado-Ekiti, capital of Ekiti state as major roads in the city have been taken over by suspected thugs. The motive, HOMELAND NEWS gathered, is to foil the speculated move by the members of the state house of assembly who belong to the APC to impeach governor Ayodele Fayose.
Some of the roads barricaded by the thugs include the Olasore and Efon Alaye highways. The Akure-Ado express road is also blocked at the Ikere end.
On Tuesday, Governor Fayose called on the people of the state to resist what he called the invasion of the state by the APC lawmakers who have been kept out of the state by pro-Fayose groups and interests.
Our source said the hoodlums may remain on the road till late in the evening to ensure that the legislators cannot access the chambers of the assembly.
