The Court of Appeal, Enugu Division has dismissed the suit filed by Chief Uche Nnaji of the All Progressive Congress challenging the victory of Dr Peter Mbah of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 governorship election in Enugu state.
Nnaji whose petition was earlier dismissed by the Enugu State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal on June 20, 2023 but proceeded to the Appeal Court for redress was once again dismissed by the decision of the three-man panel delivered by Justice J.O.K Oyewole on Tuesday.
At the resumed hearing of the appeal marked CA/E/E/EP/GOV/EN/01/2023 on Tuesday, the decision of the Tribunal was upheld by the Court of Appeal, and the suit dismissed.
The sum of N250,000 each was awarded against Nnaji and the APC by the Appellate Court.
