Senior Special Adviser to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe says the President and the PDP is ready for the election if INEC decides to hold it today.
Dr. Okupe who was a guest today on a current affairs programme on Silverbird Television, Nigeria Decides, said the views expressed by the National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki in London does not represent the position of the federal government under the leadership of Dr. Jonathan.
He accused the media of under-reporting the achievement of the present administration.
“The opposition is dominating the media, we do not have the media behind us but we have God and He will justify us”
When asked why little of the government’s good works are known by the public, the Special Adviser insisted that it is only those who are mischievous that will deny that this government had done well.
He argued that reducing infant and maternal mortality by 50%, establishing over a dozen universities, turning around up to 30,000 km of roads within the short time of the administration is no mean feat.
Dr. Okupe while stressing that the credibility of anyone is seeking to be elected into the office of President is as critical as any other issue said that there is no part of the country that has not benefited from the people oriented policies of the administration.
He congratulated the APC as he said that the party must have drawn inspiration from his prediction that the party will not last for one year.
